Dr. Sydney Rogers, a 2015 Delta Dental Scholarship recipient, organized the inaugural event with the Enid Community Clinic, and United Way of Enid and Northwest Oklahoma. Along with several local agencies, DDOKF was proud to sponsor the day, which organizers plan to make an annual event.

Ensuring Oklahoma has enough dentists, especially in rural regions, is a driving force behind the Delta Dental scholarship fund at the OU College of Dentistry, and Dr. Rogers is a prime example. After graduating from OUCOD in 2017, Dr. Rogers completed a General Practice Residency at the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System and then returned to her hometown of Enid to practice dentistry and serve her community.

Since the Foundation began its scholarship program in 2001, more than $890,000 has been awarded to OU College of Dentistry students who plan to practice within the state after graduation. For more information, please visit DDOKFoundation.org.
