2018 Oklahoma Mission of Mercy in Durant

Oklahoma Mission of Mercy (OkMOM) will take place in Durant on February 2 and 3.

Volunteers will transform the Choctaw Event Center into a fully-functional dental facility with dental and general professionals offering a variety of services including cleanings, fillings,
extractions, anterior root canals, and limited ways to
improve the smile line at no cost to patients.

This free, two-day dental clinic is held in a different city each year, and treats an average of 1,700 patients who would otherwise not have access to oral health care. Since 2010, OkMOM has treated 13,497 patients, totaling more than $10 million in donated dental services.

There are no eligibility or income requirements to seek treatment. Patients are advised to arrive early as treatment will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. A courtesy indoor line will open at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1 and again on Friday, February 2. Clinic begins at 5:00 a.m. February 2 and 3. Children under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

At the event, patients will undergo a dental screening to identify their needs and determine a treatment plan. Each patient is then routed to the appropriate area(s) of the clinic for treatment. Patients should expect to spend the majority of the day with us, up to 12 hours.
