After months of anticipation and careful reimagining, Science Museum Oklahoma is proud to announce the reopening of Mighty Mouth, one of the museum’s most iconic and beloved exhibitions. The revitalized exhibition was made possible by a generous gift from Delta Dental of Oklahoma has officially reopened.

Originally introduced in 1987, Mighty Mouth has welcomed more than 10 million visitors and inspired generations of young scientists to learn about oral health through hands-on exploration. Made possible by a transformative investment from Delta Dental of Oklahoma and its Foundation, the refreshed Mighty Mouth blends nostalgia with new interactive experiences focused on prevention, healthy habits and understanding what is happening inside our mouths.

Kirkpatrick President and CEO of Science Museum Oklahoma. “This reimagined experience honors everything families have loved about the exhibit while giving today’s kids new, engaging ways to learn how caring for their teeth connects to overall health.”

The reopening of the Delta Dental Mighty Mouth aligns with National Children’s Dental Health Month and reflects a shared commitment between Science Museum Oklahoma and Delta Dental of Oklahoma to empower children and families with the knowledge they need to build healthy futures.

The updated Delta Dental Mighty Mouth at Science Museum Oklahoma offers engaging content for all ages and features a wide range of interactive experiences, including a flossing station, an interactive smile photo wall, a mouth washing activity, a braces station where guests can practice straightening teeth, and more. Additional highlights include touchscreen interactives, matching challenges, and the return of the exhibit’s famous giant teeth that have long served as a larger-than-life symbol of learning for Oklahoma families.
