Delta Dental of Oklahoma offers free resources to access dental care

With recent expiration of ACA subsidies, our Foundation highlights options for Oklahomans in need.

With Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies expiring at the end of 2025, Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation wants Oklahomans to know about the free and low-cost oral healthcare resources available to them, regardless of their insurance coverage status.

The expiration of such subsidies significantly affects families across the state, with nearly 300,000 Oklahomans relying on the federal marketplace for their health insurance. Nationally, dental care is the most skipped form of health care due to cost – but foregoing dental care can have lasting, negative impact on your health. Whether you’re underinsured, uninsured or just need assistance accessing dental care, Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation has ways to help.

“While dental care is a critical part of a person’s health, it is often one of the first services people postpone or forego entirely when costs rise,” said John Gladden chairman, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Oklahoma. “We want people to know that help is available. Our Foundation is committed to helping Oklahomans find and access the quality, affordable care they need and deserve.”

Delta Dental’s Helpline connects individuals with Dental Care Navigators dedicated to assisting low-income, underinsured or uninsured patients.

“Our experienced Navigators guide individuals through dental referral and care systems to connect them to available resources,” said Terrisa Singleton director of the Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation. “We also have an Urgent Care Fund available to provide financial assistance to qualifying uninsured patients.”

Additionally, DDOK Foundation’s Resource for Dental Care Guide is a comprehensive, up-to-date directory of free and low-cost dental clinics and programs across Oklahoma. The Guide covers important information like cost structures, offered services, hours of availability and more that patients can utilize to find the clinic or program that best fits their individual needs.

Oklahomans in need are encouraged to call the Helpline at (405) 607-4747 to speak to a Dental Care Navigator and determine eligibility for financial assistance.
