DDOK Recognizes OU College of Dentistry Students

Delta Dental of Oklahoma and the Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation recently announced its 2022-2023 scholarship fund recipients at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.

DDOK and its Foundation awarded $10,000 scholarships to 10 dental students and $2,000 scholarships to four (4) dental hygiene students who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to the community.

Students receiving a scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year include:

  • Alexandra Ahearn, DS2 (Oklahoma City, OK)
  • Amisha Bhatt, DH2 (Edmond, OK)
  • Cayli Cohrs, DS2 (Elmore City, OK)
  • Riley Crismon, DS2 (Tulsa, OK)
  • Sharice Davis, DS3 (Midwest City, OK)
  • Jennifer Escobar, DS2 (Yukon, OK)
  • Caroline Graham, DS4 (Midwest City, OK)
  • Manas Kommareddi, DS2 (Tulsa, OK)
  • Cathy Mapes, DS2 (Alva, OK)
  • Chandler Roof, DS4 (Weatherford, OK)
  • Kendall Schnoebelen, DH2 (El Reno, OK)

“It is imperative that dental and dental hygiene students receive comprehensive education and training in order to provide quality dental care throughout their career,” said Paul M. Mullasseril, D.D.S., M.S., dean of the OU College of Dentistry. “By providing scholarships to our students, DDOK and its Foundation are strengthening Oklahoma’s future dentistry workforce. The OU College of Dentistry is grateful for DDOK’s continued support.”

Including the 2022-2023 recipients, the DDOK scholarship fund has provided $1,117,000 in scholarships to OUCOD students since 2001.

In addition to the scholarships, DDOK and its Foundation provided research stipends to the following students:

  • Julia Daughtery, DS2 (Stillwater, OK)
  • Rachel Hill, DH2 (Yukon, OK)
  • Katherine Sullivan, DS2 (Oklahoma City, OK)
