It keeps us oriented to what our business partners and customers care about most: extending the reach of affordable, quality dental benefits to as many Americans as possible. Delta Dental's operations are unaffected by Wall Street volatility, undiluted by shareholder dividends and uncompromised by the demands and requirements of ownership or investment groups. Delta Dental’s consolidated administrative rate of about 12 percent contrasts sharply with the administrative costs typically associated with most for-profit health plans, which generally range between 20 and 30 percent. For Delta Dental clients and enrollees, this means nearly 85 cents of every premium dollar goes directly toward the delivery of quality dental care. No other dental carrier directs such a high portion of its revenues for care, and so little toward overhead expenses. It’s just part of the “Delta Difference.”
