What is the Delta Dental Patient Direct discount referral program?
Delta Dental Patient Direct is Delta Dental of Oklahoma’s discount referral dental program where you can access dental treatment from a list of participating Delta Dental Patient Direct dentists. Simply call the participating Patient Direct dentist of your choice, arrange an appointment, and present your Patient Direct ID card at the time of treatment.
Is Delta Dental Patient Direct insurance?
NO. It is important to note that Delta Dental Patient Direct is not insurance. This is a program where people can take advantage of a network that Delta Dental has established. We provide access to this network for a fixed fee, but you choose the Patient Direct dentist and your dental care treatment individually.
How does Delta Dental Patient Direct work?
The dentist agrees to accept the Patient Direct Table of Fees as his or her full fee for services rendered. There are no claim forms or deductibles. You pay the dentist directly at the time of treatment. It’s that easy!
How much does Delta Dental Patient Direct cost?
Individuals pay an annual fee of $60. Families pay an annual fee of $84 (regardless of the number of dependents). You may pay by Visa, Mastercard, or bank draft (allow 24 hours for credit cards to process and 3-5 business days for bank draft processing). Once your payment has been processed, simply return to this site (if enrolling online) and access your enrollment kit. Otherwise, a kit will be mailed to you within 7-10 days. Note: Dependent children are eligible up to age 19.
How can I enroll in Delta Dental Patient Direct?
To enroll, simply select the “Enroll Now” button on our website or call 877-433-5821 (Toll Free) for an operator-assisted enrollment.
How do I receive my membership card and other information?
If you enroll by phone, once your payment has been processed, you will receive a membership card and packet by mail - usually within 7 to 10 days. If you enroll online and pay by Visa or Mastercard credit card, once your payment has processed (allow 24 hours), you can return to the site and print your membership card, and packet directly from your computer. If you enroll online and pay by bank draft, it typically takes 3 business days to process your payment. Once your E-check payment processes, you can simply return to the website, login with your username and password, and access your enrollment materials. Once you receive your membership card you can access services immediately. If you do not receive your membership card and packet within 10-14 days, please call our Customer Service Department at 877-433-5821 (Toll Free).
Can I pay by personal check via the U.S. mail?
NO. However, you can pay by bank draft (you provide bank draft information on a secured online site) which takes approximately 3-5 business days to process from the time we receive it. You may also pay by Visa or Mastercard.
Is every dentist a Delta Dental Patient Direct provider?
NO. The Delta Dental Patient Direct provider network consists of more than 400 dentists across Oklahoma. You must see a Delta Dental Patient Direct provider for treatment to receive your discounts on services. To identify a Patient Direct participating dentist in your area, please use the online dentist search on this website.
Do multiple dependents on the Family Plan cost extra?
NO! Your annual fee of $84 covers you, your spouse, and every dependent child under the age of 19. Simply use your ID card for each member.
What about pre-existing dental conditions?
As long as the treatment you receive is listed on the Delta Dental Patient Direct procedure and fee table, you will receive a discount according to that schedule. Should you elect a treatment that is not listed on the Delta Dental Patient Direct Fee Table, you would be responsible for the entire amount.
What is EyeMed Vision Care?
As a Delta Dental Patient Direct enrollee, you'll receive complimentary vision care services from EyeMed Vision Care. You receive discounts on exams, frames, lenses, contact lenses, laser surgery, and eyewear accessories! Discounts on any frame available at participating provider locations, including designer frames from Armani®, Anne Klein®, Vogue®, Brooks Brothers®, and more! The EyeMed Vision Care network provides members access to nearly 18,000 providers at 9,000 locations nationwide! This includes one of the nation's leading optical retailer LensCrafters®, as well as independent optometrists, ophthalmologists and opticians.
What if I get married and want to switch to the family plan?
Upon your renewal date, you can apply for the family plan. Families pay an annual fee of $84 (regardless of the number of dependents).
