At a time when economic hardship is impacting thousands of Oklahomans, Delta Dental of Oklahoma will contribute over $1.4 million to its Charitable Foundation to support dental care and education programs and initiatives in 2010. About $1 million in funding has been awarded to 26 initial grant recipients. Recipients were chosen through a board-reviewed application process; the balance of the funds will be awarded throughout the year.

- Catholic Charities Mother Teresa Dental Care Center in Tulsa: $20,000
- City Rescue Mission Indigent Care Fund in Oklahoma City: $15,000
- Crossings Community Clinic in Oklahoma City: $25,000
- D-DENT Dental Care Facilitation Program (statewide): $80,000
- Eastern Okla. Donated Dental Services (918 Area Code): $40,000
- Good Shepherd Clinic in Ardmore: $20,000
- Good Shepherd Clinic in Oklahoma City: $17,500
- Heart and Hand Ministries Indigent Care Fund in Oklahoma City: $5,000
- Ministries of Jesus Clinic in Edmond: $20,000
- Neighbor for Neighbor in Tulsa: $40,000
- Oklahoma Dental Foundation Mobile Dental Care Unit Program (statewide): $258,000
- 2011 Oklahoma Mission of Mercy Dental Clinic Event in Oklahoma City: $75,000

Information for Grant Seekers
The mission of the Charitable Foundation is to facilitate dental health and education in the state of Oklahoma by funding programs and services that promote oral health. Based on that mission, we award grants to organizations that make dental care accessible or advance dental education or research.
Eligibility Requirements:
- The organization seeking the grant must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with public charity (not private foundation) status, an educational institution, or a government agency. We do not award grants to individuals.
- The program, project or initiative being funded must be dental health or education related.
- The program cannot discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or religion.
- The program must serve Oklahomans.
Guidelines:
- Priority status is given to programs which provide free dental care services/education to indigent or under-served populations and which utilize volunteer dental professionals.
- The grant application should include measurable goals and a method for measuring success.

- Applications for the 2011 grant program must be received by August 31, 2010. (Initial grants will be awarded in December and funded during 2011.)
