Delta Dental of Oklahoma Named State’s Best Place to Work

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – May 15, 2009 – Thirty companies from across the state were selected as finalists for the 2009 Best Places to Work in Oklahoma program. Delta Dental of Oklahoma was recognized as Number One in the small business category at the annual awards dinner on Thursday night.

Each year the program recognizes and honors Oklahoma’s best employers. All finalists must meet a set of criteria in order to be eligible for consideration.

According to the Best Places to Work Web site (www.bestplacestoworkok.com), the criteria includes: being a for-profit or non-profit business or government entity, being a publicly or privately held business, having a facility in the state of Oklahoma, having a minimum of 25 employees in the state of Oklahoma and being in business for a minimum of one year.

In addition, a thorough company assessment is conducted. The collected information from the participating companies and employee surveys are combined to produce a detailed set of data to determine the ranking of the companies.
